The Maritime Mile Forum was established by the Maritime Belfast Trust in 2014, and contains representatives from the heritage sites, visitor attractions, venues, activity providers, community and education interests, and visitor services across the Maritime Mile, alongside the property owners and developers. Working collaboratively, the Forum develops and promotes an ever-increasing range of activities, initiatives and programmes to promote the destination’s industrial maritime heritage credentials as well as the contemporary visitor offer.

The Forum meets quarterly to update each other on the latest developments and plan for upcoming seasonal campaigns. Covid-19 impacted all the members of the Forum and Maritime Belfast Trust responded quickly to survey members and develop a recovery plan. One of the Maritime Belfast Trust’s key themes is Thrive: thriving as a charity and a sustainable cultural destination – helping local businesses, visitor attractions and venues to build back better in a post-Covid environment.

If you are business or organisation based on the Maritime Mile and want to join the Forum, or get involved in the Recovery Plan, get in touch with Maeve Moreland to discuss joining.
