Tim Losty OBE
Board Trustee
Tim is a retired Civil Servant and was previously Joint Secretary of the North South Ministerial Council 2020-2022. As well as being a trustee of Maritime Belfast, Tim is an Honorary Professor at Queens University Belfast, Strategic Advisor to Apple Inc, and an Advisor to Ulster University’s Confucius Institute.
Tim was Director of International Relations for NI Executive 2012-2021 and during this time he established the NI Bureau Office in China and worked there for six years. Tim was also the Director of the NI Bureau in Washington DC from 2003 to 2007.
During his time in the Civil Service Tim was responsible for the regeneration of the Crumlin Road Gaol and other former military sites. Prior to joining the Civil Service, Tim worked for Invest NI/Local Enterprise Unit as the manager of the great Belfast Regional Office. He holds an under graduate degree from Queens University Belfast, a Masters from Ulster University as well as professional qualifications from the Institute of Directors and Chartered Institute of Marketing.
In 2019 Tim was awarded the OBE for services to international and community relations.
