Tim Losty OBE
Tim Losty is the Joint Secretary of the North South Ministerial Council and Director for International Relations for The Executive Office. From 2014- 2020 Tim was the Executive’s Minister Counsellor in Beijing and established diplomatic relations with China and set up the NI Bureau in China.
Tim has worked for the NI Executive since 2003 when he was Counsellor for the Northern Ireland Bureau in Washington DC. On his return from Washington in 2007 Tim was the Director for Strategic Investment, Regeneration of Sites and International Relations. This included regenerating former military sites to provide economic, leisure and social benefits to local communities.
Before joining government, Tim worked in economic development supporting small businesses and managing export development programmes to the United States and Europe.
Tim has a degree in Political Science, a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing and a Masters in Organisational Strategy. He also has professional qualifications with the Chartered Institute of Marketing and the Institute of Directors
